Fellow Alumni,
We have waited a long time for this, and coming this February, Cold Out Gold Out returns to Cheel Arena. This year CUPBAA is presenting you with several opportunities to show your school spirit and even if you can’t make the trip, you can contribute to the celebrations! I look forward to seeing all of you February 25 & 26!

Let’s Go Tech!
Brett Gobe ’03
CUPBAA President

As you may or may not know, President Collins is retiring in June. Since 2004 President Collins has led Clarkson through it’s most transformative period dating back to the origins of the University. Among the physical changes to the campus, President Collins has been an ardent supporter of the athletics programs, including the Men’s and Women’s hockey teams, and the band. Through President Collins and the Board of Trustees, the Pep Band has been able to travel to all ECAC away games since 2006.

To say thanks to Tony we are presenting him with a gift at our General Meeting on Saturday February 26, 10AM at the Adirondack Lodge. To raise funds for this gift we are pleased to introduce some new CUPBAA branded merch. This merch can be found here:

We are offering merch in the following packages:

JFK PIE IN THE FACE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER

As you were perusing the itinerary, you probably noticed a pie in the face fundraiser featuring our own Matt “JFK” Keil. That’s right, JFK and President Collins have gotten into a fundraising feud for our scholarship fund! Head over to CUPBAA.ORG and donate to whom you would like to see catch a pie in the face Saturday at 5:30 at the outdoor rink before the alumni game.

Need a Place to Stay?
CUPBAA has reserved 3 AirBnbs for COGO this year off of Bagdad Road. If you are interested in housing please reach out to Liz Cadwell (bartosee@gmail.com).

ELECTION INFORMATION
We are in a CUPBAA election year! Elections will take place in-person at COGO on Saturday, February 26th, 2022. For those unable to attend, election packets will be sent out on January 26th detailing the positions, candidates, and their platforms. We will also have one Constitutional Amendment up for a vote this year, to allow for creating organization by-laws without requiring a full Amendment. If passed, the first proposed by-law will also be included in the election packet. Absentee voting methods will be detailed in the packet and will be due by February 23rd to facilitate inclusion in the vote count.

GOLF ON THE HORIZON
This year’s golf tournament will be held on July 30th, 2022 at Western Turnpike. We had a terrific year in 2021 despite the pandemic, and are thrilled to welcome back many dedicated participants this year who were unable to attend. We are in excellent shape to have the largest tournament in our history! This year, the Tournament Planning Committee will be co-chaired by Liz Cadwell and Bill Jeffers. They are looking for additional support in many areas, particularly day-of volunteers and sponsor solicitation, so please reach out to golf@cupbaa.org to join in our biggest fundraiser of the year!
